Catch your breath and stay there.

Scripture: Psalm 23:1-3 {MSG}

God, my shepherd!I don’t need a thing.You have bedded me down in lush meadows, you find me quiet pools to drink from.True to your word, you let me catch my breath and send me in the right direction.

In the excerpt below, we are reminded that God is our I AM i.e., God is whatever we need God to be. When we acknowledge that God not only provides but also is whatever we need, then we can rest. Rest is more than just taking a break. It is living confidently knowing that we can sidestep the grind of this world that would make us to believe that we have to work ourselves beyond capacity in order to survive. God's plan for us is not to survive but to live fully, vibrantly, wholly. Watch the excerpt below where Pastor Mike illuminates rest or sabbath. In fact, you may want to watch the entire sermon to see examples of what to rest from and rest for.

Lord, help me to live a life of rest.
