Community, food, fellowship, and social justice.
The Way Christian Center along with the Black Student Union of UC Berkeley is hosting this healing event in response to recent tragedies in Berkeley. There will be prayer circles, praise and worship, food, and on-site counseling. While our hope is to reach the students and faculty of UC Berkeley, all are welcome.
Kamau Right Now! will kick off 2017 with a show on the eve of the Trump inauguration -- Thursday, January 19th, live from Odell Johnson Theatre at Laney College in Oakland, just blocks from the Lake Merritt BART station. The show starts at 6:45pm, and goes live on KALW at 7:00pm.
Pastor Mike will be a special guest on the show. If you'd like to be in the audience, tickets are now available.
Tonight I will lead a special time of prayer and reflection for those who need some space to seek God and be in community. This moment may be filled with anxiety and pain, but let's seek God together, lament if necessary and be comforted by our faith, and trust that God has not abandoned us.
Meet me tonight at 7:00-8:30PM at The Way.
Our small group study will still follow for those who want to stay around.
