Brown Bagg Ministry Community Service
Join Brown Bagg as we prepare lunches and distribute meals and necessities to our unhoused neighbors.
Meet at the church at 9am to help prepare lunches before heading out to serve the community. Donations of clothing, hygiene items, and financial gifts are welcome.
To donate monetary gifts, visit the Church Center app and choose “Brown Bagg Ministry” under “Giving”.

Wear clothing from Black-owned businesses and join us right after service for the Black Business Market in the alley, featuring local vendors and creatives.

Close out Black History Month by wearing all black as we reflect, worship, and celebrate Black resilience and joy.

After service, head to Oakland for the annual Black Joy Parade, a vibrant celebration featuring food vendors, music, and special performances—including the Black Joy Choir, with many of The Way’s own singers.
