New to The Way? welcome!

We are delighted that you decided to visit us and learn about what God is doing at The Way Christian Center.

The Way Christian Center is a group of regular people who want to honor Jesus Christ and encourage each other to grow in our walk with Him.

In the Book of Acts Chapter 9, "The Way" was the name given to the early followers of Jesus who followed His teachings and accepted His way of life. As a community of followers of Jesus in the Bay Area, we are committed to living "The Way" of life that bears witness to His teachings in our worship, our work and our witness.

Thus, "The Way" names our interdenominational fellowship and reflects our aim to emphasize conversion, discipleship and transformation in all areas of our life and society.

WHAT DO YOU BELIEVE?

We believe in the divine and almighty power of God the Father, God the Son aka Jesus, and God the Holy Spirit.

We believe that the Bible is the living, breathing word of God and is our guide to walk out this faith journey of Christianity the way God called us to.

We believe that as human beings, we are flawed and it is through the gift of salvation that we are saved from sin and brought into relationship with God only through Jesus Christ.

We believe everyone has a specific purpose on this Earth and that purpose is revealed in our personal relationship with Jesus.

THE 4 PILLARS OF THE WAY

What are your services like?

We want the love of God to be felt through EVERY aspect of our service. Each service includes a time of worship, mingling with community, prayer, giving and preaching that lasts about an hour and a half. The sermons are built on Biblical principles and delivered with love and conviction from those who proclaim at The Way.

Where should I park?

Free street parking is available for you on University Avenue.

Where should I go when I enter the building?

The entry way to the church on Sunday mornings is on the right side of the building on University Avenue, through the black gates. Our greeters will welcome you and guide you to the sanctuary as well as answer any questions you may have.

Do you have something for kids?

Yes! Our YANA (Young And Not Ashamed) department is for children ages 2 to 12 and meets during the 10am service.

What should I wear?

We are more concerned about YOU and your presence with us than we are with what you wear. As a church, we gather to worship the Lord and want to dress in a way that honors God while also creating an atmosphere for people to feel comfortable, accepted, and creatively expressive. Most of our members wear something in the range of business casual to casual. Be comfortable and COME AS YOU ARE!
