Join us The Way Hikers for a beautiful coastal hike to Abbotts Lagoon in Point Reyes.
This 3.2-mile hike is mostly flat with an elevation gain of 150ft, making it beginner-friendly. About a third of the walk is on sand—so be prepared for a bit of a workout.
Along the way, the route is surrounded by native plants, wildflowers and a wide variety of birdlife. Mid-hike, spend some time together on the beach—snacking, dipping your feet in the ocean, and soaking up the beauty of the coast before heading back.
Be sure to dress in layers and bring water, snacks, sun protection and a towel or blanket to sit on.
